ABOUT ME

My journey into the arts began long before I ever picked up a camera. It started in the vibrant canvas of my childhood home, where I was constantly surrounded by Daddy's infectious passion for painting and Mummy's colourful culinary creations, brought to life in her bright, spacious kitchen. Just beyond, Grampa's flower beds burst with perpetual bloom, a constant source of natural artistry. While I explored my creativity through painting, charcoal and chalk drawings, it was the digital camera, acquired roughly ten years ago, that truly ignited my passion. That's when my photographic journey, and my vision, truly began to unfold. It started as a hobby, taking it a bit more seriously in the last few years. What was once just a hobby with a new camera, photography became more of a lifestyle for me. My job gives me the flexibility I need to spend time taking photos. My preferred genre of photography is street, as I love the interaction with people, catching them in their element and showcasing life from behind my lens. I started my photography journey taking landscapes, but being stuck on a small island during COVID, inspired me to try other genres outside of landscapes. I got into street photography with a friend of mine, portraying life as it happens around me…..possibly stopping life for just one second and changing that into a memory. After a variety of photography and editing courses, I now also enjoy taking environmental portraiture, abstract, macro, bird/nature and architectural photos, trying to find different angles that cause others to stop and figure out exactly what they are seeing.
